AATC participated in International Translation Day event at the Vienna Centre for Translation Studies on 12 Oct. 2016

The topic of this year’s International Translation Day at the Vienna Centre for Translation Studies was internships for students in the field of translation. The event provided them with an opportunity to see the broad spectrum of language services that are available. In addition to representatives from AmberMed, Caritas, Okto, the Berliner TAZ, the EU Directorate-General for Translation and the Austrian Justice Support Agency (JBA), the Austrian Association of Translation Companies was also represented by three members: All Languages, Eurocom Translation Services and Young Translations.
The students showed an active interest in internships at our companies. We launched a pilot project where students looking for internship positions can enter their names in a database so it becomes easier to come into contact with the members of the AATC.
Because the members of the Austrian Association of Translation Companies have all built their businesses on quality and long-term planning, we are prepared to invest time and money in the next generation. This is why we were particularly pleased to have this chance to get to know the future graduates of the Centre for Translation Studies.
